If I had a Million Dollars

I would buy ASSETS!  I just recently read the book, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad.”  Well, actually, I listened to the audio book in my car, which still counts.  Anyway, it was very, very good.  And it’s got me thinking outside of the box about money.  I loved how it casually taught Christian principles about money.

Most people in the middle class buy liabilities.  They get more money, they buy more liabilities.  They are forever caught in the rat race.  If they got a bonus, they would buy stuff like a wizard pipe, or a cool military ring, or fish aquarium decor.  None of that stuff is bad by itself, but luxuries should be bought out of cash flow created by assets, not out of income.

This book is reshaping how I look at money.  What about you?  What would you buy?

  1. Yeah, I love his books as well. I found his PBS special on Youtube and posted it on my blog. I’d recommend you check it out!
