My wife is coaching the JV cheerleaders this school at Anderson HS, the place we do Young Life.  It’s been quite an adventure so far.  She grew up doing cheerleading her whole life, so she knows what she’s doing.  She went to nationals and stuff like that.  The problem is, the other coaches act as if she knows nothing.  It puts a lot of stress on her that she doesn’t need.

Anyway, I’m learning more about teenage girls then I ever knew.  I grew up in a house with two brothers. This is a whole other world.  One thing I’m learning is the type of makeup up they wear.  Some girls really like Dermablend makeup.  Others, are big into Alexandra deMarkoff makeup.  One of the girls had a birthday party recently, and they invited us, so I got to learn all about it.

I’ve never been into the cheerleaders.  It’s ironic that I married one.  I have always been much more focused on the game.  But this is marriage, so I get to be focused on my wife and what she does.
