My brother is looking to buy a new house in the area.  Since he moved back to Northern KY in February, they’ve been renting a house. He flies for Delta, and so he has had a lot of insecurity about the stability of his job.  Now, that things are a bit more stable, they’ve decided to buy a house.  Being from Northern Michigan and his wife from Canada, they wanted to moved to Indiana because that was the only area that resembled that part of the country – flat with a lot of farm land.  Fortunately for my wife and I, they’ve decided to live in an area that is closer to where we live.  It’s an in between and a family pleaser.  It lies in the middle of the grandparents and us, and is close to the airport.

This makes us super happy, because we want to be a part of their life and our nieces and nephews.  We want to be there as they grow up, buying things like Curious George party supplies and Wiggles toys.  There kids are adorable and we love them, but more so, the fact that they are Christians AND family is enormous.  We want to help raise their kids, more than just buying them stuff like this – we want to help shape lives.  We are also looking forward to them helping us.  Since they are the ‘veterans’ when it comes to parenthood, we look forward to learning from them and raising our kids close to them.  We want the cousins to love each other and take care of each other.  Hopefully, a family business will be part of this identity.

Right now, they are waiting to hear on financing, and they are hoping to move in by the first of next month.
