My wife continues to push me to go more and more green. I’m fine with it because I think it is my responsibility to steward the earth, but I just wasn’t raised to think like this. One of our latest acquisitions is the reusable bag at Kroger. It only costs like $1.00, and you get a nickel back every time you use them. Now, it’s just a matter of remembering to use them. I am going grocery shopping tonight, but I left them at the house. I’ll get it.
The other switch I think we’ll make in the future is energy saving light bulbs. I think Duke energy replaces them if you buy them, which is nice. I’ve been looking at some gifts for her birthday, and I think if I go green for her, it’ll make her happy. So, I was looking at eco shoes and other eco friendly clothes. Last year, I got her some of this, which she liked, but I think she would appreciate organic makeup now.
It’s her work that continues to drive her to be more aware. She works for Sanitation District #1, and is getting impacted by all of the border line hippies. I’m fine with it though. We need to do our share.
