Well, I hope your 2009 started better than mine, because yesterday was a disaster. I woke up several times the night before, and after a bad nights sleep, woke up with a tight and sour stomach. I immediately rushed to the bathroom and unloaded (let’s just say my butt was like a super soaker all day long). I proceeded to spend the majority of my day wrapped in a fetal position on my bathroom floor and bed. Nasty.
My wife came home and wanted to take me to the hospital, but I didn’t need people wearing Peaches uniforms and these sticking and prodding me with all kinds of things. I’ve done that before. They basically give you some aspirin, maybe an I.V. and send you on your way. I don’t need to pay the hospital bill for that.
So, yeah, I was sick all day, which was horrible. My brother was moving, and I didn’t get to help him out which also sucked. On top of it all, my dog was missing. I went driving for about a half hour looking for him, but didn’t have any strength to keep looking. Since it was New Year’s, every place like these Dayton dog boarding homes were closed. So, there was no way to know if he was ok or not. To make matters worse, his collar was off. He has a chip implanted in his shoulder, but I had to hope for someone to turn him in. Fortunately, I called the SPCA this morning and found him across the street at my neighbors.
While in bed all day, I thought maybe I’d watch some football. Maybe UC could win the Orange Bowl and salvage the day. No dice. It was embarrassing. Ehhh….here’s hoping 2009 gets better.
Loosing your dog, watching a Cincy football team get drilled, and blowing mud all day? That is a terrible New Years Day.
